Vice President / Creative Director
Masumi is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Writing and Rhetoric. She has been with PMI Pros for over eight years and has taken on many roles during that time including manager, social media department head, copywriter, and lead website developer. She travels between Maine, Florida, and Alaska where she now resides, and enjoys photography, fishing, foraging, swimming, and beach combing.
She likens her approach to working at PMI Pros with her love of wildlife photography:
Writing and wildlife photography don’t seem to have much in common on the surface. I spend a lot of time outside photographing nature, and taking a really close look at small creatures and plants. I tend to notice things that a lot of people overlook. I like to think I take that same approach to my work. Designing websites and editing copy takes a great deal of close examination, just as wildlife photography does. With photography, I try to get the angle and settings just right so that people can see nature from my point of view. Allowing people to see something from a new perspective is also essential in my job as a writer and web designer. I try to get my audience to see something the way our client sees it... to get them to relate to the people behind the brand and appreciate what those people have to offer the world.
